Abstract

The Academy for Evangelism in Theological Education (AETE) was established to help support the credibility of evangelism as field of study and evangelism scholars as legitimate participants in higher education. As AETE celebrates its 46th year in existence and the 33rd anniversary of its journal, a survey was sent to evangelism professors to determine whether this credibility and legitimacy have improved. This article contains the results of this survey, including information on the activities of evangelism professors in their respective schools, the place of evangelism in various schools' curricula, and the effective of a school's theology on its approach to evangelism. This is the full article based on the plenary presenation at the Academy's annual meeting in 2019.
