Abstract
The conventional procedures for the stability analysis of aeroplanes do not suit the ultra-flexible aircraft (hang-gliders, ultralights) becasue of the non-lineraity of their aerodynamic coefficients and/or becasue they are controlled by weight shift which means that they have an always changing centre of gravity... It is possible to localize the reasons for the reversals (control efficiency, stability) and to find out if they are of aerodynamic nature (flow separation) or if they result from a deformation in a flexible structure.
