Abstract

Once upon a time...there were three tasks: 'free distance', 'distance along a line' and the 'pilot selected goal'...  ...to describe the 'flex task' let's consider a basic example: a triangle on which the first turn point is mandatory and the second turn point is the individual pilots choice of one of three points which are at various distsnces from base but all within a final leg sector which is narrrow enough to ensure that final approaches to the fininsh line are not dangerously conflicting...
