Abstract
It is proposed that most already-designed symmetrical airfoil shapes, when taken in non-dimensional ordinates, related to their maximum thickness ordinates, can be represented by very simple trigonometric functions... Some criteeria for this choice and examples of airfoils with Stradford-type turbulent recoveries are also presented.
