Abstract
The purpose of this paper has been to analyze, on the basis of some first order aerodynamic theory, the problem of achieving man-powered flight and in particular the problem of winning the Kremmer prize.... In our opinion the Kremmer prize can be won and that efforts to do so may produce technological gains of great significance to other branches of aviation....
