The majority of serious meteorologically-induced difficulties arise on account of a lack of appreciation of the physical phenomena; there may be unexpected forces with which one is not always able to cope....  It is suggested that in routine aviation meteorology attention must be paid to the conditions described here, namely on airfields with mountains of any size in close proximity.....
