Abstract

The study consists of relating variations in the main design parameters such as aspect ratio, fuselage length and wing section to the aerodynamic characteristics of the sailplane...It is shown that the use of large aspect ratio of the order of 20 to 30 with laminar wings gives the best gliding angles but not the best sinking speeds....
