Abstract
It has been recognized from the beginning of the development of the sailplane that the key to performance improvement was in drag reduction.....The present investigation has basically cleared the conditions by which the performance of the Horten IV was limited. However, a large margine of improvement seems to be possible by means of proper drag reduction.....
