Abstract
In very recent years, the acquisition of observations from powerful 10- and 23-cm wavelength radar stations located in the midwestern US has revealed a heretofore unsuspected micro-scale circulation pattern in prefrontal squall lines....Systems similar to those which have been described were observed about 25 times during the 1955 tornado season in the midwestern US. It is therefore believed that these are not chance configurations but rather evidence of fundamental properties of prefrontal squall lines.
