Abstract
The landing gear of high performance sailplanes must satisfy several requirements, some of which are peculiar to this type of aircraft. A study of these requirements is made and actual solutions are reviewed. An original solution, adopted in the CVT-2 "Veltro" and CVT-4 "Strate" sailplanes, is finally illustrated.
