Abstract

After the end of World War II, the bombers and fighters were laid up, the needs of the air forces of the world were no longer permanent and, rich in technical experience, we could once more begin to build for peace. The immediate need was for pilots to begin with the work which is flying's primary role, peaceful traffic between the peoples of the earth. I see in the correct, early and simultaneous use of gliding and synthetic training an accurate and cheap method of recruiting pilots.
