Abstract

The effect of design and operating parameters on towplane upset is investigated by numerical simulation of the coupled system represented by towplane, towrope and sailplane. The relevant role played by tow-hook location, rope length and tow speed on the perturbated motion of the complete system is analyzed and discussed.
