Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The author(s) affirm that their submission to this journal indicates that they have adhered to the ethical review requirements of whichever institution(s) apply to the author(s) and their research, as and where appropriate.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it currently before another journal for consideration.
  • The author(s) have read the policies governing this journal available under the "about" section of the menu, including but not limited to the comments found under "Time to Publication."
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word (*.doc, *.docx) or RTF document file format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • The instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering submitting your work to Teacher Learning and Professional Development.

Please familiarise yourself with the policies of this journal, available here or by clicking on "About" in the menu. We ask that you pay special attention to our "Time to publication" policy before deciding to submit your work. 

Manuscripts should be:

  1. Prepared in 12-point, Times New Roman font, without the use of embedded reference management systems (i.e. references need to be in plain text).
  2. At least 6000 words long, excluding references.
  3. Appropriately formatted to ensure a blind peer-review process.
  4. Prepared according to either the APA 6th edition of style or the Chicago Notes & Bibliography style, depending on the style common to your discipline.
