This new issue acknowledges that in the 21st century, children are living with legacies such as colonization, globalization, climate change, and neoliberalism. These legacies ask us to take up activism in our work so as to reimagine early childhood education, where we attend not to observations of children and teachers, but to the entanglements that provoke ethical, complex and difficult conversations of what it means to live well with others.
