Author Guidelines

Authors interested in submitting papers to IPMR should consult the standard APA Guidelines (see for example http://juno.concordia.ca/help/howto/citations.html#apa) as indicated on the IPMN website at www.ipmn.net.

Furthermore, authors are requested to submit (a) a title page, including full name(s) of the authors, the e-mail address of the authors and the academic or professional affiliations as well as (b) 3 to 6 keywords about the article, references (see below), footnotes and appendixes along with the article. Each article should (c) be summarized in an abstract of no more than 200 words. Avoid including abbreviations, diagrams, and reference to the text in the abstract.

In accordance with the IPMR double-blind review process, authors are responsible for making sure that all author names and any other identifying information is removed from the text of the main manuscript file. Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been previously published and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for possible publication elsewhere. Prior to final publication in IPMR, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any copyrighted material obtained from other sources and are required to sign an agreement for the transfer of copyright to the publisher.

If you wish to submit a manuscript and do not have internet access, please contact the Editor, Professor Clay Wescott by mail at Asia Pacific Governance Institute, 2819 Ellicott St NW, Washington, DC 20008.

References:

Include only references to books and articles actually cited in the text. All references should follow the Chicago Manual of Style (15th edition). References in the text should cite the author’s last name, year of publication, and page number (where appropriate), e.g. (Smith 1999, 37). Examples of references in the reference list:

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
