Abstract

This edition of the International Journal of Geoinformatics (IJG), Volume 20, Issue 3, represents a collaborative effort between IJG, the Faculty of Science at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, Thailand, and the College of Medicine and Public Health at Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand. This issue focuses on supporting and disseminating research articles that apply Geographic Information System (GIS) technology and related technologies to diverse public health and health sciences research. We have compiled articles that demonstrate advancements and innovations in using GIS to address public health challenges, from analyzing disease spread data and planning health services to monitoring environmental impacts on population health. The work presented not only reflects the authors' expertise in public health and health sciences but also illustrates the collaborative efforts of researchers from various disciplines to develop comprehensive and sustainable solutions to complex public health issues.

Finally, we extend our gratitude to Prof. Nitin Kumar Tripathi, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, and his team for their support. This journal issue will serve as a valuable resource for public health professionals, researchers, and scientists interested in utilizing technology to improve and develop the health systems of national and international populations.
