Call for Papers

CJSDW/R publishes papers that investigate contemporary issues in discourse and writing studies. In this context, the journal is particularly keen to publish papers concerning the nature of writing and discourse in academic and professional settings as well as current issues related to the use and teaching of written communication.

All article submissions to the journal will go through a standard double-blind review process, with one manuscript first screened by the editors and then independently assessed by 2-3 reviewers. Short commentaries and book reviews will be assessed by their corresponding editors before final publication.

Prospective authors are strongly encouraged to acquaint themselves with previously published issues of CJSDW/R. Prospective authors should sign up in the journal system and make electronic submissions through the system. Manuscripts must:

- include an abstract of 100-200 words and 3-5 keywords to facilitate electronic search.

- follow the guidelines of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th edition) and should not exceed 9,000 words (including all appendices, tables, and references).

- not include identifying information about the author in the text or file properties.

- use 8.5" x 11" size paper and be double-spaced, including the abstract, block quotations, tables, figures, notes, and references. Tables and figures should be placed in appropriate locations within the text, not in additional files.
