La planification sectorielle L'Opération sciences fondamentales

Serge LaPointe

Abstract

The author begins by describing, from his own experience, the planning process for one area of higher education — the basic sciences, in which are included: biochemistry, chem-istry, mathematics, physics, biological science, and earth science. He takes a perspective from which the current strengths and weaknesses of the planning process for the basic sciences may be seen. Lastly, he outlines particular questions and expectations that should be considered in regard to sectoral planning in higher education.
