Author Guidelines

Articles must not be concurrently submitted for publication elsewhere and are normally 7,500-10,000 words in length.

Please contact Journal Manager Ngoc LE at cjbs(at)sfu.ca for an article template before submitting the paper.

A 100-word abstract must be included on the opening page immediately below the title.

A brief biographical note should be included for the "Contributors" section.

Pali and Sanskrit text should use Nirmala UI, Chinese characters should use PMingLiU, and Tibetan text should use Microsoft Himalaya. Transliteration should be in Gentium Plus.

Please submit articles in both MS Word and PDF format, to the Editor at pcrowe(at)sfu.ca for preliminary review to determine conformity to length limitations and for content appropriate for peer review.

Contributors are welcome to contact the editor beforehand to discuss proposals or for guidance regarding topics which are suitable for publication in CJBS. Research articles will be subject to double-blind peer review by appropriate members of the Editorial Board or external evaluators selected at the editor’s discretion.
