Compétences professionnelles et rapport à la langue dans un programme de formation des enseignants de français langue seconde dans l’Ouest canadien
Abstract
Notre contribution propose de porter attention à la manière dont un programme de formation initiale des enseignants de français qui fonctionne en langue seconde dans un environnement sociolinguistique majoritairement anglophone aborde la mise en place des compétences professionnelles. Ce programme d’une université de l’Ouest canadien vise à développer les compétences professionnelles des futurs enseignants de français, ainsi qu’à maintenir leurs compétences linguistiques en français langue seconde, puisque dans l’université qui accueille le programme, le choix a été fait d’assurer le développement professionnel des étudiants-maîtres dans la langue qui n’est pas la langue première de la majorité de ces derniers, mais celle qu’ils sont appelés à enseigner, dans un contexte de grande diversité linguistique et culturelle.
