General guidelines that are applicable to all formats:

• The work must be well produced, logically developed, with an introduction and conclusion. It should be understandable by a wide-ranging audience (e.g., students, researchers, community members, social workers, foster parents, etc.).
• The rationale, goals, concepts, and/or problem statement should be clearly articulated.
• All sources must be properly referenced in APA Style (7th ed.) format (including sources in the body of the work as well as a complete reference list).
• If the work is in any language other than English, please provide an English translation.
• Prospective authors are responsible for obtaining permission from copyright owners to use an illustration, graph, table, picture, or quote of over 100 words published elsewhere.
• The work should be respectful of the lived realities of First Peoples. Learn more about terminology and phrases to avoid.

All work that is being considered for publication in the First Peoples Child & Family Review will be run through software designed to detect plagiarism.
