Author Guidelines

Spanning disciplines of health, psychology, sociology, philosophy, applied linguistics, language education, the history/law of education, and early childhood education, Child Health and Education welcomes the submission of manuscripts on caregiver-child interaction; children's emotional, cognitive, language and literacy development; play, social, and cultural environments; multiculturalism and multilingualism; early childhood education, special education, and care; and early childhood policy implementation.

Articles should be written in either English or French and focus on studies and systematic analyses that employ qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methodologies. Because of its international scope, authors are encouraged to focus on the underlying aspects of their research that make the work relevant for the larger community of researchers, educators and policymakers. Articles should be 5,000 to 7,000 words.

Articles should use the bibliographic and formatting standards found in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th Edition, 2001. In addition to their submitted papers, authors are encouraged to include other supplementary files they feel are relevant to reviewers and readers of the journal, including data-sets, research instruments, etc.
