Author Guidelines

IJCIS publishes original research papers in the fields of computational intelligence research and applications. IJCIS accepts original research articles and book review articles. Only papers that fall within the aims and scope of IJCIS will be considered for publication. For a more precise description of the aims and scope, please click here.

High quality research papers are considered for publication if they have not been published previously and are not under consideration elsewhere. Authors are reminded that papers are published to be read and should compose their works with as wide audience in mind as is consistent with the maintenance of scientific quality. Please see here for a PDF with the call for papers.

Submitting your paper

Papers can only be submitted by using the electronic submission system of IJCIS. For this, you will first need to register. After this, a five-step process will enable you to submit your paper. IJCIS requires all papers to be prepared as Word or LaTeX-files as this will give the best formatting results. However, for submission, please send us a PDF version of your article.

Please specify during your submission you will need to specify to which of the following areas your submission belongs, this will enable the Editor to assign an area-editor responsible for the reviewing process of your paper:

Mathematical foundations of computational intelligence;

Decision support systems;

System control, modeling and optimization;

Information science;

Real-time systems;

Data mining and machine learning;

Industrial engineering;

Security and risk analysis;

E-services and social science;

Real world applications.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in PDF-format.
  3. Where available, URLs and DOIs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
