As a journal of the IUCN/SSC Primate Specialist Group, African Primates continues to provide a venue for the exchange of information about the behavior, ecology and conservation of Africa’s nonhuman primate fauna, including knowledge about the habitats and cultural landscapes essential to their survival. By widely and freely disseminating the research articles, field reports, and other contributions to the journal, the intent is to foster interest in Africa’s primates and promote the knowledge and sound science which will provide the basis for effective conservation of these animals, many of which are currently threatened.
The journal appeared in print format beginning in 1995 and the six previously published volumes are now accessible through the “Archives’ navigation link, above.
